DEULA also resumed operations after the corona lockdown. Teachers and trainees can expect a sporting program in the coming weeks.

Freising– After a seven-week break, DEULA Bayern (German Agricultural Engineering Training Center) in Freising is continuing to teach as part of the inter-company training. For the time being, the course content is only intended for prospective landscape gardeners who are about to take their final exams in July.

The educational institution has implemented all hygiene regulations, reports DEULA. The trade inspectorate had checked the precautionary measures and rated them "very good". In addition, the students of the Green Education Center received a set of rules on the hygiene measures imposed.

DEULA manager wants to get out of the Corona standstill

"It is time for us to get back into orderly business for the young women and men in training," says Norbert Stöppel, Managing Director of DEULA Bayern. "We now have to get out of this Corona standstill, of course, in strict compliance with the regulations."

On May 4th, 60 apprentices started their five-week or two-week courses with a new start in inter-company training. The main topics: natural stone and plant use, construction and planting of a water system, plant use with a focus on perennials as well as machines and devices in gardening and landscaping. Twelve students sit in a room at a great distance, and wearing protective masks is mandatory.

The time window for the courses is tight

Niklas Müstel, an apprentice at Haderstorfer Garten-, Landschaft- und Sportplatzbau GmbH is happy about the new start: "Finally it starts again!" He was happy to see his classmates from the vocational school again after a long time. “We can also share our experiences during the corona crisis. I'm not afraid of an infection. If everyone adheres to the sophisticated protection concept, everyone is safe. "

Due to the closure of the vocational training center in the past weeks and the requirements of the vocational schools, there is a tight time window for the implementation of the courses. “If we do not now convey the contents of the inter-company training, it will be lost for the trainees. The courses cannot be rescheduled before the final exam in July, ”Stöppel emphasizes the situation. He therefore appeals to the training companies to send their healthy young talents to the vocational training institution on the scheduled dates.

Academy and driving school have to wait

To prepare for the exam situation, DEULA is holding five courses in June that are already fully booked. A total of 80 young women and men take part. The training simulates theory and practice in the final exams. The courses "Agricultural specialist in the field of greenkeeping" count as preparatory courses for the state final exam and can therefore be carried out as planned.

In contrast, the Weihenstephan Landscaping Academy (alw) does not hold any events until further notice. There is also no approval for the driving school at DEULA.
