Lower Saxony - The topics of gastronomy, tourism, school openings and professional football during the Corona crisis will probably be the focus of a conference call today between Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the prime ministers of the federal states.
The Prime Minister of Lower Saxony , Stephan Weil , wants to pass on and explain the results of this call to the public in a press conference at around 5 p.m. With the special route of the federal state in the form of the 5-step plan for the relaxation of the coronavirus measures, Weil had partly received harsh criticism.

Corona in Lower Saxony: 5-step plan should allow easing quickly
The planned five stages for Lower Saxony are spread out over time. Stage two is expected to occur in the middle and stage three at the end of March. Gradually, the corona measures should be relaxed so that public life can start again.
Prime Minister Stephan Weil said: “We are concerned with a strategy that is as cautious as it is determined again to create reasonably normal conditions until the virus can be completely eliminated by an effective vaccine. Restrictions that only bring a comparably lower benefit for infection protection , but are associated with high social or economic damage, should be addressed first. "
