When Dolce & Gabbana's little hands indulge in Instagram

The designers have no shortage of imagination to arouse the curiosity of internet users, confined to their smartphones. There are countless Instalive and other animations thought to entertain them. Friday, May 7, in the afternoon, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will put online, on their TV channel Instagram @dolcegabbana, a series of short videos shot by and at their craftsmen. They play the game, alone, facing the camera of their phone, they will show their talent.

Called Dgfattoincasa (for homemade DG), this program highlights the different trades of Italian fashion: knitting, embroidery, feather application, embossing, personalization ... 100% made in Italy, celebrated with humor and passion , each season, since the creation of the brand in 1985.

On February 23, while Italy was preparing to close its doors for a strict quarantine after the discovery of a cluster of the virus about fifty kilometers from Milan, the Dolce & Gabbana maintained their fall winter parade 2020. Their seamstresses and artisans had made the trip to show, in front of the public, the finesse of their work in a movie set.

After the short videos, internet users are invited to contribute to research for a vaccine against the Coronavirus (free participation). This project is part of a large charitable program in support of Humanitas, the Milanese medical university busy looking for a vaccine against the Coronavirus. At the end of April, the brand announced that it would donate to Humanitas a percentage of the sales of its emblematic bag, the Devotion Bag, whose muse, Colombian actress Sofia Vergara should take part in Dgfattoincasa soon.
