An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the Iranian capital, Tehran, and was felt in the northern and central provinces.
The Seismological Center of Iran confirmed that the earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale.
The center added that the earthquake center is the outskirts of the Damavand region between the provinces of Tehran and Mazandaran.
And an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck earlier today, Jizan region, Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran, without reports of casualties or material damage.
