The woman who claims to have been the victim of sexual assault by the Democratic candidate for the White House, Joe Biden, called on Thursday the latter to renounce the presidential election. Tara Reade, 56, accuses Joe Biden, 77, of having sexually assaulted her in a corridor of the United States Congress in 1993, when he was a senator and that she worked for him. The former vice-president of Barack Obama has denied the accusations that poison his campaign.

In her first televised intervention since Joe Biden's denial last week, Tara Reade asked her to give up running for the White House. "Do you want him to retire?" asked a journalist. "I would like him to do it but he won't do it," said Tara Reade, saying it was "a bit late" for him to apologize.
Tara Reade has in the past publicly supported Bernie Sanders, candidate for the Democratic primary who admitted his defeat against Joe Biden. Since his retirement in early April, Joe Biden is alone on the Democratic side to face Donald Trump in the November 3 presidential election. He leads the way in the latest polls, taking advantage of criticism against the president's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
