The Cnef, which sent a questionnaire to some 2,500 evangelical churches, obtained 580 responses, according to this census sent to the press. Among these 580 churches, "31% say they have been affected" by Coronavirus patients. A total of 72 deaths have been recorded, including 31 in the only Christian Open Door church in Mulhouse, the Cnef told AFP.
The latter had held a gathering of some 2,000 faithful at the end of February which is the source of dozens of contaminations throughout France, from Corsica to Normandy and all the way to Guyana. The Cnef claims to represent 70% of evangelicals in France.
