The concept, summarized in the City, is "reviving the economy of the neighborhoods." And with that idea, the businesses that could reopen begin next Monday, May 11, when the coronavirus quarantine enters its next stage. As Clarín said, the possibility of starting with recreational outings will also be analyzed. These proposals, which because it is a district of more than 500 thousand inhabitants must be approved by the Nation, were discussed this Thursday in Olivos between the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, and President Alberto Fernández.

The list of local businesses would include everything from bazaars, toy stores and bookstores to electrical appliance houses. On the other hand, shopping malls and gastronomic venues would continue to be closed: the latter must continue with the delivery modality and will incorporate (some have already done so) the take away, that is, the withdrawal of orders at the doors of the premises.

It is not yet clear what could happen with other activities that were being analyzed, such as construction. Until Wednesday, one possibility was to allow progress on large excavations, due to security concerns. A sensitive point here is the transfer of workers, since the majority comes from the suburbs and this complicates the transport situation, one of the main sources of contagion.
