In the city center of Tölz, the parking spaces on Säggasse have disappeared behind a construction fence. "The construction site has been fenced in here since Monday," town hall spokeswoman Birte Otterbach explains on request. As reported, the small pigeon hole park is to be embellished - with unimpeded, stepless access to the water line of the Isar, with gradual walls and a type of ribbon, with Isarfindlings and additional seating. The previous planning also envisages that the parking spaces on Säggasse will disappear permanently. As the candidate for mayor, however, the new city councilor Ingo Mehner, who was sworn in yesterday, had spoken out in the panel discussion of the Tölzer Kurier for preservation.

At the construction site in the Taubenloch, the municipal utilities now want to carry out water pipe work before they really get going, according to Otterbach. A construction road for heavy equipment will be built in the coming week. Then successive signs, benches, the fall protection to the Isar and the stairway would be dismantled or torn. Otterbach emphasizes that a tree expert accompanies the entire measure ecologically so that the existing trees in the pigeon hole are preserved. The further schedule for the construction site will be available at the end of the week.

What Birte Otterbach says should be finished before the summer holidays is the Kneipp garden on the Ludwig promenade. Opposite the vital center, the area is fenced, on which not only a new, approximately 11 by 3.70 meter Kneipp basin in organic, elongated oval shape is to be created, but also a suitable green area with a drinking column and hand basin. The spokeswoman for the town hall explains that the first step here is to lay electricity and water pipes. "In parallel, a construction schedule is drawn up."

In addition to Taubenloch and Kurpark, the city will upgrade a third park in the coming weeks, namely the Bürgergarten. Construction fences were erected here last week and access to the construction site was established. "First of all, the wall towards the playground will be renovated," explains Birte Otterbach. Part of the wall must be rebuilt. A new staircase to Georg-Pacher-Weg is designed to better open up the southern corner of the small inner-city green space. The viewing platform in this area is also being prepared. The plans also include a modified barrier-free route, a lighting concept, the installation of additional seats and the planting of new hedges and trees in the area towards the Schloßplatz car park.
