Wiesbaden - A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Mainzer Straße in Wiesbaden on May 6, 2020 . A 34 year old man from Hofheim (Main-Taunus-Kreis) lost control of his machine and fell heavily.
Fatal accident in Wiesbaden: Motorcyclist loses control of the machine and falls
According to the first findings of the police, the 34-year-old motorcyclist was driving Mainzer Straße in Wiesbaden from the city center towards the A671 motorway at around 8.15 p.m. At the Amöneburger roundabout, the motorcyclist overtook a car in the area of the traffic lights there and then began to roll for unknown reasons.
The 34-year-old Hofheimer lost control of his machine and fell. The motorcycle slid a few meters on the road and then crashed into an embankment. A few meters away, the driver came to a stop at the foot of the embankment, the police said.
Motorcyclist dies in an accident in Wiesbaden - Mainzer Straße completely blocked for hours
The motorcyclist was injured so badly in the accident on Mainzer Straße in Wiesbaden that he died in the hospital a few hours later. To determine the exact cause of the accident, the public prosecutor ordered an expert to be appointed, and the 34-year-old man's motorcycle was secured.
The Mainzer Straße in Wiesbaden was completely closed for the duration of the accident recording and the cleanup from the city center towards the A671 motorway until 11.45 p.m., the police reported. A rescue helicopter was also in use.
