Munich - Keeping distance is actually the top priority in the Corona crisis , also in Munich. But just now it could be  even narrower than usual at MVV

The next two weekends will also require a lot of patience from Munich: This weekend (May 9-10) the U3 / 6 subway line in the city center is interrupted, the following weekend (May 15th to 18th) the traffic will stop the S-Bahn main line .

MVG is building in the corona crisis: U3 and U6 stand still in the center of Munich

The conversion of the Sendlinger Tor underground station slows down the trains: From Saturday evening, May 9th, around 9:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 10th, only a shuttle train runs every 15 minutes between Odeonsplatz and Goetheplatz .

The U3 runs between Moosach and Münchner Freiheit every ten minutes and between Goetheplatz and Fürstenried West every 15 minutes. The U6 runs between Garching Research Center or Fröttmaning and Odeonsplatz as well as between Implerstraße and Klinikum Großhadern every ten minutes.

The Munich Transport Company (MVG) recommends the following alternatives:
U3: Use the U2 from / to Scheidplatz for journeys between the city center and Moosach. In addition, the U1 from / to the Olympia shopping center is an alternative.
U6: For journeys towards Garching / Fröttmaning to Odeonsplatz, switch to the U4 / U5.

The CityRing (bus 58/68) can also be used to bypass the construction site by changing at the Giselastraße or University and Goetheplatz stops.

Munich: stop on the main route -

The railway carries out maintenance work. Construction is also underway on the second main line. To do this, the main line between Pasing and Ostbahnhof is shut down from Friday, May 15, approx. 10:30 p.m. to Monday morning, May 18, 4 a.m. Alternatively, buses run on Saturdays every 7 minutes (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and otherwise every ten to 15 minutes.

Alternatively, passengers between Pasing, Hauptbahnhof * and Ostbahnhof can also use the regional trains . In addition, the train refers to subways and trams . The U5 runs every five minutes between Westendstraße and Innsbrucker Ring on Saturday, and Tram 19 also consolidates its rhythm. In addition, according to Deutsche Bahn, there are replacement buses in "tight intervals".

The S-Bahn turns coming from the west in Pasing or without a stop at the main train station, coming from the east at the Ostbahnhof. Travelers to the airport can use the S1 (above ground from the main train station) and the S8 (from Pasing and Ostbahnhof).

Last but not least, MVG has big plans for the future - here you can find out how the range is to be expanded in the coming years.
