A week-long series of crimes in Au / Hallertau with enormous property damage seems to be cleared up: The police caught two suspects in the act.

  • A series of crimes kept residents in the Freising district in suspense.
  • Now the police report a search success.
  • One of the suspects is still a child .

Au / Hallertau - This successful result is likely to leave many Auer sleep better: On the night of Thursday police have arrested two teenagers who for a number of burglary, theft - and vandalism offenses to be responsible.

After such crimes had increased in Au in recent weeks, the police had deliberately increased their presence in the market town, as Moosburg's PI boss Christian Bidinger reports. It was clear that it was not about the actions of individuals, but "that there is someone on the road who apparently enjoys such actions," said the inspection manager. "We were supported by the civilian task force from Erding on our patrols ."

Civilian police officers stop suspects - and immediately notice the next crime

Such a unit caught the eye of a motorcycle with which two younger people were traveling. What the patrol did not know at the time: the duo - a 13- and a 15-year-old from the northern district - had stolen this machine the day before. The two were arrested.

According to Christian Bidinger, the suspects admitted numerous crimes in the course of the further investigations : Among other things, the broken-up and devastated Smart , from which various fittings were removed at the Schlesische Strasse in Au in mid-April, went to the account of the arrested.

The teenagers are also responsible for a case that provoked outrage

Furthermore, they are apparently responsible for a case that had caused great public outrage: in a forest hut on Auer Schlossberg - also in mid-April - several panes were smashed and the water from the adjacent fish ponds drained to a minimum. The trout swimming in it died. A stolen light motorcycle was left behind at the scene .

The two friends, none of whom, according to Bidinger, have a driver's license , had a soft spot for illegal jaunts on motorcycles . The theft of a Yamaha 125 that disappeared from Hamppstrasse on April 29 is also blamed. The day before, they had a good time at the Stockschützenhalle: they hit outside lamps and smashed windows of a shed.

Au / Hallertau: Five-digit total loss - one of the perpetrators is probably not responsible

As the Moosburg PI boss says, the total damage has not yet been quantified. "We assume a five-digit figure," said Bidinger. The investigators have so far charged the teenagers with four motorcycle thefts. They were handed over to their parents. "The 13-year-old fault is unable to German law, the 15-year-old falls into juvenile justice." The civil claims of victims but were on a different paper, the Sheriff . There is already limited business capacity. Bidinger: "In the end, what was done has to be paid by someone."
