The Sonar electronic music festival scheduled for June 18-20 in Barcelona has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers announced on Friday.
“The 2020 edition of the Barcelona Sonar will not be able to take place and has been postponed to 2021 (...) The decision was made because it is the only way to safeguard the health and well-being of spectators, artists and teams ” , explains the press release.

The festival, which had attracted more than 105,000 spectators last year, this year featured the British The Chemical Brothers, the Swedish Eric Prydz and the Venezuelan Arca.
The next edition will take place from June 17 to 19, 2021, says the text. The organizers are working to "reprogram the majority of concerts and activities" that were planned for this year.
