Corona is hard on many parents. Large children cannot go to school, only a few small children are allowed to go to daycare. The market community now wants to at least give financial relief.

Altomünster - With this, the municipality is reacting to a measure by the Bavarian state government, in times of childcare prohibitions, i.e. in April, May and June, no fees should be collected in the kindergartens.

At its last meeting, the Altomünster municipal council therefore agreed not to collect the contributions for May and June; April should be repaid to the parents if the state government issues more precise guidelines. The state reimbursement to the organizations responsible is linked to "a great many unknowns", as the second mayor Josef Wiedmann (FW), who chaired the meeting, explained. "We drive on sight," says Wiedmann. For example, it is unclear how exactly the reimbursement should work, because different care times naturally result in different fees. The Bavarian Community Day, in turn, talk about a flat rate.

Nevertheless, after a lengthy discussion, the committee agreed to treat all parents equally, including parents whose children are in emergency care. Roland Schweiger (CSU) and Hubert Güntner (FW) had previously asked whether it was possible to exclude these groups. Managing Director Christian Richter replied that it would be significantly less effort if everyone was treated equally. This regulation also applies to the BRK kindergarten on Brechfeld, to the crèche there, to childcare and the Vhs group "Little Mice". The municipality must therefore wait for around 29,000 euros in reimbursement.

On Tuesday, however, Prime Minister Markus Söder announced that around 50 percent of the children should return to the care facilities by Pentecost, i.e. until May 31. Altomünster's new mayor Michael Reiter told Dachauer that it was difficult to deal with the new situation. He does not hope that the government will now proceed differently with the reimbursements to the municipalities. Reiter: "But first of all we don't want to put a question mark behind the decision made."

Christian Richter also presented the expected occupancy figures for kindergartens, crèches and school care from September. There is still air in almost all of them.

There are currently 12 free places in the crib of the Regenbogen children's home, which will be reduced to five by January. The rainbow kindergarten has two groups of 25 children and one integration group of 15 children. In September, four children plus one integration child can be admitted here.

There are still three places available in the Wollomoos kindergarten in September, but they will be occupied again in February. "The kindergarten has a great forest play area and is therefore very much in demand," emphasized Christian Richter.

It looks better in the one-group Pipinsried kindergarten with 25 children. From September there will be nine places available, but from April only four.

According to Richter, the two-group kindergarten in Oberzeitlbach is very popular. This is due to the very good staffing situation and the fact that you have a lot of space in the big house. There are currently no capacities here and also later. The group size remains capped at 25 children. That means that new registrations are referred to other kindergartens, especially to the little ones. He currently has a free place. From autumn there will be seven free places, from January even 25. The reason for this is that the community wants to open the fourth group in the opposite "school stairs 4" for the new kindergarten year. Construction work on the building had progressed well, the managing director said confidently. Then you also have "a decent offer" in the main town.

One is cautiously optimistic when it comes to childcare with currently 89 children. Around 27 graduates are expected, 15 are newly registered. One uncertainty is that it will only become clear later in May whether or not an all-day class will be created in the first year of school.
