Corona Munich: Passengers leave subway car after disturbing scenes

tz.de employee Patrick Mayer encountered such a "mask refuser" during his trip on the U6 - and experienced scenes that have probably disturbed some passengers. "A tall, very stocky man with a bald head came into the subway without a face mask, " reports Mayer. Another passenger then repeatedly pointed to his own face mask; probably to make the noticeably drunk man aware of the obligation to wear a mask.

In this case there was obviously no insight. “The man has started beating up the prudent passenger and shouting wildly. Several concerned people have left the wagon , ”says Mayer. He himself made a subway driver aware of the aggressive troublemaker at Odeonsplatz . The latter agreed to immediately contact the security guard.

tz.de employee Mayer can confirm that the mask requirement is mostly followed by the rest of Munich: "All other passengers in the relevant car wore mouthguards."
