Spokesperson for U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who is married to one of Donald Trump's key advisers, contracted the coronavirus, raising concerns about its spread to the White House. The President of the United States himself announced on Friday during a meeting with elected Republican officials that Katie Miller, the wife of his immigration adviser Stephen Miller, was affected.
Another case had been reported the day before among White House staff serving the President. According to a prominent member of the US administration, quoted by a "pool" of journalists, however, neither Donald Trump nor Mike Pence have recently been in contact with Katie Miller.

The announcement of the second case in two days at the White House rekindled fears for the health of the president and the vice-president, who both resumed their activities and their travels, while the American balance sheet of the disease exceeded the 75,000 dead. "We have taken every precaution to protect the president," said Kayleigh McEnany, spokesman for the presidency, on Friday. "We have done everything that Dr. (Deborah) Birx and Dr. (Anthony) Fauci have asked of us ," she added, referring to two highly respected members of the White House Scientific Council.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence have both been tested negative after a positive diagnosis by a member of the U.S. military working at the White House, the presidency said on Thursday.
