Most of us will celebrate Lag B'Omer at home - and Israel's restaurants have been prepared accordingly • And also: Food Festival in a particularly intriguing format • Food News
Do you smell it? This is the smell of returning to the routine. We will say that this is a very gradual return. very very. But as soon as the section's mailbox shows up about restaurants that are reopening and upgrading and not closing their doors - we're happy.
Along with the buds of returning to the routine, there are still quite a few restrictions that prevent many of us from going outside and celebrating Lag B'Omer properly, with campuses and Poika as the best of tradition. For the benefit of those staying and celebrating at home, quite a few restaurants came out with kits or packages based on specials or packages. All things equal here for you, happy holiday!
Food festival during the Corona? There is such a thing
Following the Corona virus, the "Taste of the Galilee" fair, which takes place every week, is transformed into a "home delivery festival". Hundreds of products from dozens of artists, traders and roll makers are waiting at the Western Galilee Time Association website, and will be packed and shipped to the commissioning house after ordering. Three types of special and one-of-a-kind packages were prepared for the event, which includes a variety of wines from the four boutique wineries that are members of the Alto Dairy Cheese Association and shepherd's singing and special holiday pastries, all made from local Galilean.
Weekly deliveries will also be able to order food from local brewers such as handmade couscous, Druze stuffed vine leaves, home-made meats, smoked meats, vegan spreads, rich soups, and even booze ice creams!
Each shipment will also be accompanied by a small spice pot from the Galilee and a recipe booklet from the association's members - a gift.
Orders will be accepted by May 15, and will arrive at the customer's home on May 24-27 (Shavuot Eve)
