In tune with President Alberto Fernández's announcement, Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof confirmed this Friday the continuation of the coronavirus quarantine, arguing that " the disease is contained, but not controlled ."

"We cannot trust ourselves. Success cannot lead us to distract ourselves or to trust ourselves . The disease is contained, but not controlled. We are contagious, it is slower. Today, despite all those voices, we have the anxieties, the climates they want generate, we have to continue at home, "emphasized Kicillof in the announcement that Fernández led from the Olivos residence.

Despite the fact that in the interior of Buenos Aires many municipalities made various activities more flexible, in Greater Buenos Aires the controls will continue and in some cases they will be even stricter.

In the same tune as the president, Kicillof also questioned those who demand greater openness in the economy: "We should not waste time in accusations. Those of us who have management responsibility are dedicated to taking care of people," he said.

"We have prepared the health system as it did not happen decades ago, but when you look at outbreaks when they are developed, there are no developed health systems that can endure," he said to justify the decision to extend preventive isolation.
