The weather in Hong Kong has been hot and sunny recently, and the temperature in all districts has risen above 30 degrees this afternoon (9th). However, tomorrow (10th) Mother's Day is about to bid farewell to the sun and usher in a thunderstorm. The Observatory stated that a trough of low pressure would cross Guangdong tomorrow and hover along the coast for the next day or two, with thunderstorms in the area. As the high-altitude anticyclone strengthened again in the middle and later of next week, the weather in South China improved.

The Observatory expects sunshine for a short time on Mother's Day tomorrow, a few showers later, and thunderstorms in some areas. The weather continues to be hot, with urban temperatures ranging from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius. When people go out to celebrate, remember to bring an umbrella.

The Observatory said that high-altitude anticyclones are bringing hot weather to southern China. The weather is forecast to be hot today, with some sunshine in the afternoon and showers in some areas. Tonight it is mainly cloudy with gentle southerly winds. Looking forward to the hot weather tomorrow, showers will gradually increase later, and there will be showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday.

However, there is plenty of sunshine until next Monday (11th). The observatory is expected to be generally cloudy next Monday with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. The temperature dropped slightly to 26 to 30 degrees, and the relative humidity was 70% to 95%. There will also be showers and thunderstorms next Tuesday (12th), and the maximum temperature will drop back to the "two-word head", ranging from 25 to 29 degrees.
