Figures released by the government in Slovakia today showed that no new cases of the Coruna virus were recorded during the past day for the first time since the tenth of last March.
According to the figures published by Reuters, the Slovak authorities recorded fewer cases and deaths than neighboring countries, with a total of 1455 cases and 26 deaths, with 919 people recovering.
On Wednesday, the Slovak government reopened all shops outside commercial centers, reopened hotels, museums, galleries and open-air tourist sites, allowed religious ceremonies and weddings with a limited number of guests, while schools remained closed and travel outside the country was not permitted.
Meanwhile, Czech Airlines announced that it will partially resume operations on the 18th of May, after a six-week hiatus due to the Corona virus.
The company confirmed that it would initially resume flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and Stockholm, followed by those for Kiev on May 24, followed by flights to Odessa and Bucharest on the 25th of the same month.
The company indicated that passengers will be required to wear masks for the duration of the trip, while maintaining a distance of two meters between one person and another, and the plane will be subject to sterilization before and after each flight.
