We are avid Asian food lovers and are equally appreciative of the upscale restaurants and chains that many call the insulting "junk" nickname, but not us. With a review of new shipments and restaurants that have been converted due to the Corona, we decided to survey two old Asian shipping chains, River and Camp Street.

River: Know how to do the job

The delivery came in a perfect split between the cold portions and the main hot and sushi separately, while the salads came in a separate bag. Each salad or main course got their seasoning in the form of a self-assembling that all that's left is just mix and eat. Great dining experience.

We started with a simple and light leafy river salad, with the wonderful addition of the sweet potato chips baked in a great citrus sauce, great for a starter. Alongside it is a "Bang Bang" salad with peanut butter - the magic secret of course is the combination of peanut butter and roots. In terms of taste, some may say it is slightly spicy but not impossible to eat.

Key Features:

Green kimono - a noodle dish that felt really upgraded. The pesto picks up the noodles. Very satisfying and delicious.

Pad Thai - The combination of tofu and chicken at first felt a bit puzzling and incomprehensible, but in the end a fun twist to the classic dish emerges.

Chili Pepper (new Indian dish) - a very tasty dish with a small drawback - the chicken crispies. Maybe it's shipping maybe it's the tempura, but in general, the taste brings you right back to the little shop in the heart of India. Definitely recommended!

Sushi - Who doesn't like sushi? We received four rollers at our request (2 without avocado and 2 more without fish). In terms of visibility, everyone seemed to come out of a food magazine, as did the taste. Invested, delicate and not blasted with ingredients. The roll that came wrapped in avocado and then also contained the vegetable, was very filling, and the second roll is simple and light. Everything you want and expect from Sushi.

In terms of fish rolls, the Thai roll is just perfect. From the beginning of the mantle to the combination with the Salomon inside. The spicy tuna roll (which came in the form of Inside Out) was just great, the fish was just right with the addition of the spicy sauce that upgraded the flavor.

Campaigner: Get lost on the menu

At Kempai restaurant it is difficult to choose one starter, a very large and varied menu but in the end we met the task. We decided to go for the tempura cauliflower, something in the words "spicy Korean chili sauce" told us we would not regret. We did not regret it. The combination between the tempura cauliflower and the sauce just makes its own.

We switched to a vegetarian roll with sweet potato, onion and carrots + funky salmon roll in tempura with carrots and avocado. Apologies in advance for the very basic banal selection, don't judge. The rollers arrived nicely arranged and stood up to the packing test properly.

We liked the vegetarian roll more, just because we didn't think it could surprise us too much when we chose the dish, but something about connecting the fresh ingredients just did it for us.

From here we moved to Pad Capeau - no doubt the star of the shipment. The dish arrived orderly in a way that made us suspect that the kitchen people were suffering from a small CD syndrome, the egg egg laid on top of all this goodness proved to us that everything was possible during the Corona period. Coincidentally we also took the first bite and it totally threw us back to Thailand, for a time when there were still vacations abroad and we were worried about other viruses like Deng fever. In short, a perfect dish with just as strong Thai flavors as we like.

The next one - Vietnamese - The dish is priced as a personal dish but it took us two days to finish it - packed with all the best. Just as mentioned on the menu, the only minus that is full of oil. It can be a little easier for us, after all we are after two rollers and Pad frozen.
