Today, New York State Governor Andrew Kuomo announced that the daily death toll from the state's corona virus has decreased.
"207 people died yesterday," Kuomo was quoted by US media as saying at a press conference today. "This number is high, but it is better than it was earlier."
Kuomo indicated that daily death indicators are currently at the 27th of last March.
According to the data provided by Kuomo, 231 people died on May 6, 216 people on the 7th of it, and 226 on the 8th of the same month, bringing the total deaths in the state to 21,271 cases.
Kuomo explained that the number of injured people who were transferred to hospitals yesterday reached 521 people at a time when hospitals were receiving more than 3 thousand injured people in the worst days.
New York State is the main focus of the spread of the Corona virus in the United States, which ranks first in the world in terms of the number of people infected and deaths in the epidemic.
