Remember, the government decided that the bonfires were not allowed to lit on Lag Ba'Omer. Nevertheless, residents belonging to the extremist faction in ultra-Orthodox society celebrated Lag Ba'omer with the lighting of bonfires, dances and songs. As a result, firefighters worked to extinguish the fires, and in addition extinguished burning bins that were lit by residents to disrupt police operations.
On a hundred occasions, the Ministry of Health guidelines violated on several occasions. For example, the Jerusalem Police forces raided the central synagogue in late March, locating a minyan that had dozens of worshipers. In late April, police raided a neighborhood building where 60 people were together. The headmaster and four teachers were detained for questioning.
Jerusalem itself has become the second largest infection site in Israel with 3,592 patients with the virus.
