How Macron is preparing the next stage of deconfinement

STORY - The President of the Republic believes that containment has slowed the spread of the virus but remains vigilant about the risks of restarting the epidemic.


At the Élysée too, the deconfinement began. Monday morning, as everywhere in France, some rare employees of the Presidency of the Republic reappeared in the corridors of the palace. It is therefore from his office, surrounded by the rare advisers who remained physically present at the Élysée Palace throughout the confinement period, that the president drew up a first assessment of the period of the coronavirus crisis.
