The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) recently confirmed a corresponding judgment by the Lübeck Regional Court in November.

The mother had not only fooled teachers and educators for years, but also betrayed doctors and health insurance companies . According to the findings of the regional court, the woman had for years pretended to be doctors, teachers, educators and even her children with serious illnesses that required sitting in a wheelchair .
In doing so, she forged a medical report and described fictitious symptoms . So she wrongly received payments of almost 80,000 euros from her health insurance.
The stolen money is not the worst thing: Especially the actually healthy children suffered because they had to go to school in a wheelchair for years , had many absenteeism due to unnecessary visits to the doctor and were therefore socially isolated. So the woman pretended to her daughter, who was now of legal age, that she was suffering from osteoarthritis and glass bone disease .
Lübeck mother sentenced to eight years in prison
Friends or relatives never noticed the fraud because the mother apparently had good acting skills. In her environment and also in the media, the woman pretended to be a sacrificing mother who worked tirelessly for her children, who had been hit by a difficult fate .
On the basis of an expert opinion, the Lübeck Regional Court held the woman guilty and sentenced the then 49-year-old to eight years' imprisonment on 13 November 2019 for serious ill-treatment of those under protection, fraud and forgery of documents.
The BGH now rejected the appeal against this as unfounded. The Lübeck judgment is thus final.
