"We promised and fulfilled" research student team at Tishreen University with the support of the Syndicate of Engineers Syndicate in Lattakia, a corridor for multi-system sterilization, and another team completed an ambulatory respirator approved by the governorate's health directorate to contribute to tackling the Corona virus.

Dr. Ammar Al-Assad, the Syndicate of Engineers in Lattakia, expressed in a statement to the SANA correspondent that he was proud of the team’s achievement after the tireless and continuous work of manufacturing a sterile corridor with international specifications and installing the first device at the entrance to the syndicate’s branch building to tackle the Corona epidemic.

The team founder, Dr. Carlo Maqdisi, said that the sterilization corridor is the first of its kind, and it is multi-systems that includes all the characteristics of the cleaning and disinfection system and sterilization, indicating that the first system is sterilization with water vapor, the second is an alcoholic spray that is suitable for human use, and the third is common with time. Noting the efforts of the students Rami Kassem and the kings to complete this distinguished project.

For his part, Dr. Haitham Asmar, Chairman of the Medical Engineering Committee, spoke about the achievement he had made with his team of engineers, Basil Obeid and Ahmed Zubeidi, which is an ambulatory breathing apparatus and its importance, as it is characterized by the possibility of operating it with electricity or on the battery and the ease of carrying it and transporting it from one place to another in ambulances or While the patient is being transferred to the intensive care room pending endotracheal stimulation.
