Kabul-Sana
36 people have been killed and more than 80 others wounded by two armed attacks and a terrorist bombing in Afghanistan today.
The Associated Press quoted Afghan officials as saying that a group of gunmen wearing police uniforms attacked Dashti Barchi Hospital, west of Kabul, threw bombs and shootings, and a clash took place between them and the police, killing 14 people, among them children and their mothers.
Tariq Aryan, a spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior, confirmed that the security forces evacuated more than 100 women and children from the building during the exchange of fire, while 15 others were injured during the attack, which no one has claimed responsibility for.
In a statement issued later, the ministry drew the killing of the three gunmen who launched the attack.
In another attack, 21 people were killed and 55 others injured as a result of an alleged funeral suicide bomber targeting pro-government forces in Khywa district of Nangarhar province, east of the country.
A child was also killed and ten people were wounded by a terrorist bombing, which was planted inside a vehicle in a market in Khost province, according to a police source.
