This line, usually very busy, had seen on Monday some of its particularly crowded trains.

Busy in normal times, line 13 of the Paris metro will see its traffic resume completely on Wednesday. The offer on this line will be increased to 100%, said Tuesday the Secretary of State for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari on BFMTV, confirming information from the Parisian, the day after a complicated recovery on this axis which is one of the busiest in the Ile-de-France network.

"Water infiltration" at the Carrefour Pleyel and Mairie de Saint-Ouen stations on Monday caused traffic on the line to delay by around 40 minutes and to cause congestion on some trains.

"There were some difficulties, especially yesterday morning by opening a few lines," said the secretary of state. “There are well-known congestion points on line 13, in the north and east of Paris. We will put more offers in the coming days. On line 13, tomorrow there will be 100% of the offer. On the RER B and D, a little more supply from Thursday, "he said.

A more regulated offer for long-distance trains

"We are refining," he continued. “The objective is to have 100% of traffic at the end of May for the RATP and 100% of the daily trains at the start of June. It may be a little bit complicated, but Jean-Pierre Farandou (CEO of SNCF, editor's note) made a commitment earlier on the phone to do the maximum. It is a huge effort, ”he added.

“For long distance trains, we operate a little differently. Until June 2, we regulate this offer quite a bit, we make sure to run 30-35% of the trains, but it is an offer that we know how to raise as quickly if the health situation improved ”, added Jean-Baptiste Djebbari the day after the start of the deconfinement linked to the coronavirus crisis.
