A new experiment launched by the branch of the Syrian Foundation for Trade in Homs today as part of its positive intervention in the markets includes buying vegetables from farmers directly and selling them in the Hal Market to retailers in order to reduce prices and break the monopoly.
In a statement to correspondence with Sana, the director of the Foundation’s branch, Imad Nadour, pointed out that the new experience includes marketing vegetables from the source (the farmer) by bringing them in cars belonging to the institution from the farmers ’fields and putting them in the cardamom market to be purchased from retailers and put them to citizens at lower prices while continuing to put vegetables in the halls of the institution At reduced prices.
He explained that the Foundation’s cars will go on a daily basis to farmers ’fields planted with vegetables in various villages to buy from them and put them in the cardamom market, explaining that on the first day of the experiment, 8 tons of tomatoes, 4 tons of cucumbers and 12 tons of potatoes were released at lower prices than the market.
Nadour pointed out that the branch is currently conducting another new experiment that includes guaranteeing lands from farmers to purchase crops from them, as the experiment began in dressing them by guaranteeing 40 dunums of garlic at one of the farmers, where it is extracted daily from the land and marketed within cars and paying the farms according to the price of the material in the markets until Not subject to any exploitation.
