US President Donald Trump abruptly ended his press conference yesterday (Monday) after a controversial exchange with American-Asian journalist.
Vijia Jiang, the CBS News White House reporter, asked the president why he sees the Corona virus as a global competition, with over 80,000 Americans already dead from the virus. Trump embarrassed the journalist and told her to "ask China."
"Ask China this question, okay?" Trump told Jiang, a China native who immigrated to the United States when she was two years old. Trump tried to continue at the press conference but the correspondent went on and asked the President "Sir, why are you saying this to me specifically?" And Trump replied: "I'm not saying this specifically to anyone. I'm telling someone who is asking a nasty question."

Another reporter accepted the speech, but since she had earlier chosen to let Jiang continue his conversation with Trump, the president refused to ask her questions on the grounds that she "did not respond" to the approval he gave her. Trump then refused to answer questions from White House reporters and quit the press conference.
