A power cut left around 6,000 households in Geretsried and Wolfratshausen in the dark on Tuesday evening.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - For some, the living room light only flickered briefly, while others were sitting in the dark for a good hour: Around 6,000 households in the cities of Geretsried and Wolfratshausen were affected by a power failure on Tuesday evening, according to the network operator's estimate.
The problem started around 7:30 p.m., at exactly 8:56 p.m. the last juice-free household went online again, reports Christian Martens, deputy press spokesman for Bayernwerk AG, when asked by our newspaper.
The cause of the power failure could be determined on Tuesday evening on site. It is a technical defect, "a cable fault in two places in the Geretsried district of Gartenberg". The cable section was initially bridged, with the help of a cable measuring car the exact location of the fault is now to be determined. The damage is then repaired, but the power supply for the customers is ensured, emphasizes Martens.
