Thomas Modlinger has to present a concrete plan for his drive-in cinema. Only then can the municipality decide on its project.

Holzkirchen - Thomas Modlinger is satisfied with the result. "It's very positive," but: "The pull-ups are higher than I thought," he says. A lot of desk work is waiting for Modlinger again. At an on-site visit with the regulatory office, building yard and location promotion from the town hall, Modlinger spoke yesterday about details for his planned drive-in cinema. As reported, the 57-year-old wants to set one up at Herdergarten in Holzkirch, after having to close his Fools cinema in mid-March due to the corona. Because car cinemas in Bavaria have had the opportunity to obtain a special permit from the district administrative authority since this week, his project got a new impetus.

The on-site visit brought out the following: In principle, the community is benevolent towards the plans. But before making a decision, Modlinger has to present a concrete plan. Among other things, it should show how the cars stand, how many have space there and how the entrances and exits run, explains Eva-Maria Schmitz from the location promotion. "Only then can we contact the district office."

So far, Modlinger only knows that he would put up the canvas on the edge of the meadow with the playground. He has to work out the rest. "There are still a lot of eggs not laid." Modlinger hopes that he can start with the drive-in on June 8th, possibly on May 29th. He expects a great response: "People are already talking to me on the street." Mar
