Vienna / Houston - Princess Anna of Austria is dead. According to the magazine "Bunte" she should have died on May 4th . Particularly tragic: the young mother of Söhnchen Maxim (2) was only 31 years old.

Anna was a descendant of the last Emperor Karl I of Austria. Her parents are  Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria (66) and Prince Piotr Galitzine (65). 

As a spokeswoman for the "Emperor Karl League" confirmed, Anna died of an aneurysm shortly before her 32nd birthday . These occur, for example, in the brain as a result of a weak wall in the arteries. Aneurysms often go undetected because, under normal circumstances, they cause no problems. If they tear, however, if not immediately discovered and treated, they can quickly lead to death .

In addition to son Maxim, Anna, who was named Maria Singh after her wedding, leaves her husband, the Iraqi Rishi Singh. She had most recently lived with him near Houston, capital of the US state of Texas . Her parents and two of her five siblings are also said to be located there.

Emperor Karl I, the last emperor of Austria, and his wife Zita were the great-grandparents of the princess. After the fall of the Austrian monarchy , the family had spread across many countries. While Zita lived to a ripe old age and only died in 1989, her husband Karl, like his great-granddaughter now, had only a short life. He died in 1921 at the age of 34 years at a pneumonia .

Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma recently died of a lung disease, namely Covid-19 caused by the coronavirus. The 86-year-old is the cousin of King Felipe of Spain.

The Norwegian royal family is also in mourning for Princess Märtha's ex-husband. His three daughters and the princess dedicate moving words to him.
