The General Organization for Drinking Water in Tartous Governorate has completed five horizontal pumping groups through the Ministry of Water Resources, provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross, with the aim of improving the investment factor in the Kaf Al-Asal water project in Baniyas region.

The Director of the Foundation, Engineer Nizar Jabbour, explained to SANA correspondent today that the Foundation's workshops started to break the old, dilapidated rules and re-pour new concrete bases to install the pumps in the three project terminals, expected to finish the work within 15 days, provided that the pumping line between the second and third stations will be replaced later after completing the provision of the institution Required cables from the same source.

Jabour pointed out that the workshops are continuously following up their work in terms of maintenance and installation of new submersibles and securing drinking water for citizens in the Banias region and the town of Qalloua and Sheikh Ali Al Majdal farm, “The New Project” and the areas of Sheikh Badr, Al-Dreikish, Safita and Al-Safafa with the installation of a spare submersible in the plant of the fourth station of the Naamu Al-Jar project.

He pointed out that the Foundation continues its work in the neighborhoods of Tartous through the installation of new submersibles, repair, replacement and installation of new lines and pumps with control of water leakage in addition to repairing breakdowns in the areas of Khirbet, Douair Sheikh Saad, Baila, Kingdom, Beit Alyan, Basrah, cement housing, and the station of Al Qubeiba, and repair lines in different diameters in my villages Al-Fateq, Al-Cross, and blocking treatment in the western Al-Harat line of the village of Kaf Al-Jaa ', with a horizontal pump installed in the old third station of the Al-Qadmous Inventory project.

Jabour also confirmed the continued distribution of water by tanks in the villages of Mushairfa, Hassan, Azizia and Zerbalit because they are fed by the Mushairefah project, which is stopped from pumping into networks due to the high nitrate content.
