Grafenaschau - If this is not a refreshing cure: At the constituent meeting of the Schwaigen municipal council, no fewer than five new members were introduced to the nine-member committee. Now the decision-makers met for the first time after the elections in the Grafenaschau multi-purpose building to work through the usual procedure, which included the election and swearing-in of the second and third mayors and the enactment of the rules of procedure.
In the future, you will not only be able to follow the meetings from the audience bench, but also actively participate in local politics: Johann Probst junior (LOS), Cornelia Brunn, Victoria Mahr-Hofherr, Tobias Daiberl and Hans Georg Geigl (all UVV). Mayor Hubert Mangold (non-partisan) was pleased with the variety of professions in the new council: "There are men and women, students, workers and also a farmer." As was often the case, the committee showed itself to be in the unity with the election of the second mayor : With 9: 0 votes it decided for Markus Jais (UVV). Jais had previously assured him that he would be happy to take on this post if he was able to do so in time: “It would not be so cheap only if it was three in the afternoon. But if I know in time, then it is not a problem. ”On Mangold's recommendation, Franz Wohlketzetter (LOS) was appointed the third mayor. So far, he had acted as Mangold's deputy. "We did not have a third party in the last term, but we are better positioned with it," the town hall chief explained his request. The swearing-in followed without the usual handshake - corona-related. "But it still applies," smiled the mayor.
It was unanimously decided to increase the attendance fee from 15 to 25 euros - following the example of other places such as Ohlstadt, where the council members had recently increased their fees from 25 to 35 euros, although the decision to do so was not so clear with 10: 7 votes . The representatives of the people had to deal with a rather dry subject when the extensive rules of procedure were adopted. For example, the responsibility for legal transactions relevant to the land register had to be reorganized. According to the decision, an information board, which was previously located at the Kirchstadel, is to be moved towards the village shop. The number of seats in the two committees is determined according to the majority principle: The UVV receives two, the LOS one.
At the community meeting of the Ohlstadt administrative community, Hubert Mangold as the first mayor and Markus Jais as his vice will represent their community; Franz Wohlketzetter is another member and his deputy is Cornelia Brunn (UVV). The departing council members Christoph Weber (GfG), Brigitte Jais (GfG), Marianne Lutz (LOS) and Johann Demmel senior (LOS) will be said goodbye today at 4 p.m. at a retreat in the information center above the village shop. The place of Georg Fischer (GfG), who died in May 2018, had not been taken by a successor at the time.
In addition, a senior citizen representative for the village should be elected at the meeting, who does not necessarily have to come from the ranks of the municipal council.
