Update from May 14, 12.45 p.m .: Navy divers resumed the search for the last victim of the fatal accident involving five Dutch surfers on Thursday. An underwater robot was again used to find the 23-year-old's body, the Dutch news agency ANP reported.

The body of the missing young man was sighted on Tuesday, but was then aborted by the current. Forces had searched for him in vain on Wednesday before Scheveningen.

Update from May 13th, 11:57 am:  On the Dutch North Sea coast on the beach at Scheveningen , there was an alarm on Wednesday morning, as can be read on the Twitter account of the rescue brigade. "Person in the water at Noordelijk Havenhoofd beach", it said in the tweet. 

Five surfers died in the waves on Monday. Four bodies were recovered, the fifth body was still missing (we reported). 

As reported by the "Bild" newspaper, an angler had spotted a body in the water on Wednesday morning . So far, it is still unclear whether this is the fifth body . According to the report, a special fire department surfer rescue team is said to begin the search throughout the day. The coast is also flown by helicopter.

Update from May 12, 8:09 pm:  Stiffness in the Netherlands : After the tragic death of five surfers in the North Sea , the village of Scheveningen is paralyzed. 

The local surf club wrote on Facebook: “Today we all think of Joost, Sander, Pim, Matthijs and Max , who yesterday paid for the struggle with our beloved North Sea with their young lives. A black day in the history of Scheveningen. "

The Hague Mayor Johan Remkes  hopes for a quick clarification of the accident. He also wants to have it determined whether adjustments to the surf water from Scheveningen are necessary.
