Idlib Governorate opened a number of service centers today in the city of Khan Sheikhoun, which was liberated from terrorism by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army last year.
Engineer Fadi Saadoun, who is in charge of the tasks of the Idlib governor, told a SANA correspondent that today the headquarters of the Khan Sheikhoun City Council and the Electricity and Water Unit division were opened in addition to the headquarters of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Division after its rehabilitation, indicating that the opening of these centers is an important step towards facilitating the return of more displaced families Because of the terrorism to the city in addition to providing the necessary services to the families currently residing.
Saadoun pointed out that there are plans to open a government complex in Khan Sheikhoun that includes all departments and public institutions that have an important role in providing basic services to citizens such as the court and civil conditions, and an automatic bakery will soon be opened to secure bread for the residents living in it, indicating that two schools have recently been equipped to receive students It is provided that other schools are equipped with the beginning of the next academic year.
For his part, Adeeb Primo, a member of the Executive Bureau of the Local Councils and Municipalities Sector indicated that the city of Khan Sheikhoun is the third largest city in Idlib Governorate and its people have returned to it recently so we started to rebuild it as a temporary headquarters for the city council was prepared because it is the basic nucleus of work in providing the necessary services to the citizens living Indicating that work is currently under way to rehabilitate other city councils, as a study has been prepared on the reality of the Maarat al-Numan city council to rehabilitate it, and city councils and other towns freed from terrorism will also be rehabilitated.
In turn, the head of the city council of Khan Sheikhoun Abdul Karim Al-Najjar stated that the opening of the temporary headquarters of the city council was aimed at accelerating the provision of services to the citizens returning to it, pending the rehabilitation of the headquarters that is in the process of implementation, indicating that the current city council’s task is to accelerate the removal of rubble from the streets to secure the return People and coordination with all the electricity and water institutions operating in the city to restore necessary services to it.
Al-Najjar pointed out that starting next Sunday, an alternate schedule will be organized for workers in the city council, ensuring that there are a number of them throughout the entire day to secure the needs of citizens, especially water and bread, noting that there is a water tank that provides drinking water for the people living in the city, provided that another tank is secured In the coming period because water is an important factor for the stability of the people.
It is reported that last month, the Idlib Governorate police headquarters were opened in Khan Sheikhoun.
