The Kogel is home to some of the most beautiful old Tölz villas from the turn of the century. The Mignon estate at Kogelweg 10 is particularly steeped in history. According to the monument book, it is probably a building by Gabriel von Seidl. Here is a day care now.

Bad Tölz - In the house built shortly after 1900, Ingrid Krafft-Otto and Birgit Gahler-Schäffler want to expand their existing day care facility from 10 to 15 places. The Tölzer construction committee has already agreed.

The house has been owned by a couple of Munich architects for a good ten years, who renovated the historic building with great attention to detail. This can be seen, for example, on the original wooden windows and doors with fittings. For many years Ingrid Krafft-Otto had been walking past the house on her dog tour and thought to herself: "That would be the right thing for me." Last summer, when she was thinking about expanding her day care facility on Schützenstraße and im Internet went in search of suitable real estate, the announcement poped up of the fact that the Villa Mignon was for rent. She was hired the same day.

"People loved it"

The lease has been in effect since November 1st. Since then, the house has been furnished for the needs of day care. Krafft-Otto and Gahler-Schäffler have been offering 18 spaces in the newly built Hörmann building on Schützenstraße since January 2018. After a slow start, the offer of relatives of nursing patients was so well received "that we are booked out five days a week," says the trained nurse and trained nursing manager. Now the branch is to be created on Kogelweg, which, in contrast to the barrier-free Schützenstraße, should be reserved for the somewhat more mobile patients. "We applied for 10 to 15 places at the nursing care fund," says Krafft-Otto, describing the room program of the house as almost ideal. You have a dining room with partly original old furniture and a tiled stove, a beautiful winter garden, relaxation, fitness and creative rooms as well as a garden and a large kitchen. In a trial run, her people would never have wanted to go away, says the entrepreneur. "They were thrilled."

Relief for relatives

The house is prepared picobello, even games, books, trimmers and electric recliners are waiting for their users. However, Krafft-Otto and Gahler-Schäffler still have to overcome a few hurdles. The Tölz construction committee unanimously welcomed the project. Johannes Gundermann (Greens) pointed out that the traffic situation on the Kogelweg is "very tense". "In the long term, this requires a solution."

Michael Lindmair (FWG) worked hard to get the application. Customers would be picked up and brought from home daily with a shuttle service and picked up again in the evening. Now the change of use application has to be approved in the district office. A sufficient fire protection concept will also be a prerequisite for this. Krafft-Otto, who also lives in the villa himself, is confident: "We are already doing a great job of relieving caring relatives." Especially now in the Corona era, the two operators would have had a lot of calls "when we would start again ".
