Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced the first clinical tests of a vaccine designed in the country against the emerging corona virus.
Trudeau said in a statement today quoted by the Russia Today website that the Canadian Ministry of Health has approved the first clinical tests in Canada for a possible vaccine against Corona virus, noting that the tests will be conducted at the Vaccine Study Center of the University of Dolhuse in Nova Scotia.
Trudeau pointed out that if the vaccine tests are successful, they will begin production and distribution in the country.
The death toll from corona virus in Canada exceeded the barrier of five thousand and the Canadian Ministry of Defense announced that five members of the Canadian armed forces were infected with corona virus serving in nursing homes in Quebec and Ontario.
Canada is the 14th country in the world in terms of the number of new coronavirus infections with 74,993 cases and 9 in terms of the number of deaths from the pandemic by 5595 cases.
