Thirty-four confirmed cases of contamination by the coronavirus were identified in a slaughterhouse in Fleury-les-Aubrais in the Loiret department, announced on Saturday the Regional Health Agency (ARS) of Center-Val de Loire.

“ Following the report, through the Contact Covid application, of three confirmed cases of Covid-19 within the Tradival slaughterhouse in Fleury-les-Aubrais, an investigation and screening team (….) S 'is on the site, Friday, May 15, ' says ARS in a statement. “ The investigations carried out revealed 12 confirmed cases within the company and two subcontracting companies. In addition, an initial screening operation was carried out on 84 people present on the site, ”she explained.
The test results revealed 22 additional confirmed cases, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 34.
" These people have been prescribed segregation. Given these elements, the screening of all employees of the company and its service providers will be undertaken in the coming days, "added ARS.
The company will be closed by prefectural decree " the time to complete the investigations and to carry out the disinfection operations of the premises ". Health Insurance will also conduct research outside the professional sphere of contact cases of people carrying the virus.
