Blue and White chairman manages all assigned cases except Minority Affairs, to be announced soon • First: Peretz and Shmuli attended Blue and White faction meeting

Over the past few weeks, in blue and white, they have pledged to give up some cases, so as not to take part in a bloated government in portfolios and meats. But the distribution of the files of Blue and White Chairman Benny Gantz, last Thursday, actually presents a different reality.

Gantz eventually decided to staff all the cases, except "Minority Affairs Minister," a case Gantz is expected to announce on his appointment in the coming days, according to a statement issued Thursday night on behalf of Blue and White. He would say to Benny Gantz that, compared to the many file war and Likud mishaps in the Likud, he actually managed to please most of his party members and pass his distribution of cases fairly respectably. Most of them have received a portfolio or management committee that matches the content world they come from, and for them it is a success. 

The only member of the Knesset who leaves to be briefed in the file distribution phase is Miki Haimovich, who will apply to the agriculture portfolio that she lost to MK Alon Schuster. MK Yachimovich, the first woman in the Blue and White Party, will at this time be appointed chairman of the Interior and Environmental Protection Committee, which will also deal with supervised matters. The animal issue is very dear to Haimovich's core, and when offered to other non-agricultural ministerial positions, she chose to relinquish it and wait for a related portfolio in her field of business for about a year and a half. It may be that Haimovich's relinquishment of a portfolio would still play to her advantage. For, Knesset members of Blue and White are not yet well acquainted with parliamentary work due to the three election campaigns and Haimovitz will be able to gain parliamentary experience up to the time of her kosher appointment.

MK Michael Biton, too, can see disappointment in this round. Those who are high on the party list won a general file, but in a prestigious office - a Minister of Defense. In order to give the case a more serious focus, they announced on behalf of Blue White that Biton's role as Minister of Defense Responsible for the civil issues. 

At the conclusion of the file distribution on Thursday, a statement was issued on behalf of Blue and White clarifying all the appointments in the files in the "Blue and White Bloc" and beyond the members of the Blue and White Party, including Labor Party MKs, MK Amir Peretz, who will serve as Minister of Economy and Industry. Itzik Shmuli, Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Services.

At the same time, in blue and white, the Labor Party began to hold joint faction meetings, presumably for unification of the lists. Peretz and Shmuli are currently attending meetings, without MK Meirav Michaeli opposing the entrance to the government.
