(CNN Spanish) - Julio Anguita, former general coordinator of the Izquierda Unida political formation, died this Saturday, a spokeswoman
for the Reina Sofía University Hospital in Córdoba confirmed to CNN.
His death has occurred in the Intensive Care Unit where he remained admitted for the last week. After learning the news, the center's management sent their condolences to the family.
Anguita was admitted to this Cordovan health center on Saturday May 9 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
