Thanks to the Corona loosening, the mountain huts will also be able to start operating again on Monday. A survey of innkeepers at Lake Tegernsee shows that the way out of the lockdown is particularly rocky on the mountain.

Tegernsee  - Thomas Gigl is brooding over the four-page regulation that reached him on Friday morning at very short notice. Four pages with conditions for the reopening of his mountain inn Neureuth in Tegernsee. "A lot is difficult to accomplish," says the innkeeper, shaking his head thoughtfully. Nevertheless: On Monday, Gigl will host guests for the first time after weeks of closure. As in the valley, this is initially only allowed on the terrace. In order to be able to comply with the distance rules, Gigl and his team have already "remodeled": Where around 400 guests normally sit, a maximum of 150 will be accommodated during Corona. "It will be exciting," says the hut owner. He expects to have to turn away many thirsty hikers.

Those who find space have to prepare themselves for an unusual procedure: arrive, mask on, fill out the data form, be led to the table. While the restaurateurs in the valley can check out a lot when making a reservation, the hut owners have to settle the formalities on site with their guests. They usually stop here as they please.

Riederstein host: "They'll come in droves on Father's Day"

In spite of all requirements: For Franz Wagner from the Berggasthaus Riederstein am Galaun there was no question that he would open his outdoor dining on time for Monday. "The money is getting scarce," he says. The tables on the terrace have already been moved apart, the disinfection dispensers are ready, Wagner wants to mark the way to the toilet with adhesive strips on the floor. The innkeeper is certain that the guests will quickly return to their favorite huts. "They will come in droves, especially on Father's Day," believes Wagner. On this day, he would probably have to deploy an employee as "security".

Karolina Höß from Lukas Alm in the Sutten area hopes very strongly on the reason of the people. The hut owner wants to get started again next Wednesday - but there are still some detailed questions unanswered. Especially when it comes to the data collection of your guests. "I still don't know how to do it," she says. Especially since the data of the visitors are not verifiable - unless you show your ID.

The operator of the Hirschberghaus expects a lively visit

Peter Maier from the 1511-meter-high Hirschberghaus in Kreuth, who is also opening again on Monday, is curious about what to expect. How do the guests react? Is the business with the greatly reduced number of places profitable at all? "We have to see how this develops," says Maier. "There has never been a situation like this before."

The landlord wants to manage the business alone with his partner for the time being. Maier also expects a lively visit for his Hirschberghaus. With the lifting of the exit restriction on May 6, people went back to the mountains more and more: "You noticed that immediately."
