It was to be a day of celebration for this family gathered in Provins. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare.

Two children, 10 and 13 years old, fell five meters high this Saturday, around 11:40 a.m., at the back of an apartment in Place du Maréchal-Leclerc. The youngest of the two would have a vital prognosis.

Polytrauma victims, they were both helicoptered by the emergency services, in great emergency, to the Necker hospital in Paris (15th), in Paris, where they were taken care of.

The two children - one lives in Montry and the other in Lagny-sur-Marne - are said to be cousins. They participated this Saturday in the birthday of another cousin, in this accommodation in the city center of the medieval city, almost opposite the town hall.

The two boys were playing together in the backyard of the house, not far from a barn. When the idea came to them to get in.

Through a fiber cement roof

Once inside, they then passed through a window leading to the roof of another building next door, actually behind the Cache-Cache store. The latter has its window located on the Place du Maréchal-Leclerc.

Composed of fiber cement sheets, the roof of this building did not resist their weight. They therefore passed through and fell from a height of five meters.
