The Hungarian archaeologist, Dr. Mayor Balaj, called for the lifting of the economic blockade imposed on Syria, noting at the same time the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the conspiracy it is exposed to.
Balaj, head of the Department of Archeology at the University of Bazmani in Hungary, told a correspondent SANA in Budapest: “I visited Syria for the first time as a student in 25 years to study and through continuing regular archaeological work I got to know the hospitable Syrian people and touched his love for his country, especially during the plot that started in 2011,” adding: I call for an immediate end to the blockade imposed on Syria, especially in light of the Corona virus pandemic.
