The Oise, the first epidemic center in France, is still struggling with Covid-19. The Hauts-de-France Regional Health Agency (ARS) announced this Sunday that it will follow three new clusters in the region: one in Pas-de-Calais, one in the North and one in Oise, within a Compiègne hostel.
"This episode is still being managed," also assured the organization at the end of the day. Located on rue du Général-Mangin, the new cluster concerns the Coallia home, which welcomes 205 migrant workers. A total of twelve cases have been confirmed there, according to the director, Eric Nicaise.
A first case on May 7
"The first, light, appeared on May 7, said the official. The person was placed in quarantine in the Margny-lès-Compiègne Accommodation and Stabilization Center (CHS). In this place, set up during confinement, people are followed 24 hours a day. ”
Then, other cases were detected on the same floor of the building from May 12. “This put us in the ear, says Eric Nicaise. We tested all those on the floor and we applied reinforced barrier measures. Out of thirty tests carried out, four were found to be positive. "
The ARS was therefore notified, so that all residents, as well as the sixteen staff members, were screened. An operation that took place on Saturday: doctors from Beauvais and liberal nurses from Compiègne scrutinized 176 people.
"There was no panic"
Seven new cases were thus diagnosed. All were evacuated this Sunday evening to the CHS of Margny-lès-Compiègne, where they were taken care of.
"The Coallia home welcomes men, women, children and the elderly, we take the situation very seriously," emphasizes the director. All the floors will be confined and we will organize ourselves to carry the meals. "
