The extreme heat wave is expected to be unprecedented in length and intensity, according to a preliminary review of the meteorological service. According to forecasts, a total of six days is expected at temperatures above 38 degrees in the coastal plain; 36 degrees or more in the mountain areas and more than 42 degrees in the Sea of ​​Galilee.

A heavy scab across the country

The authority has announced that it is possible to travel on sites where the duration of the trip is short, with shaded seating areas for rest, and places to relax, such as running water fountains and foot-crossing water.

Recommended routes for those who still want to hike are: Ein Tina in the Golan, Rosh Pina Nahal and Kibbutz Nahal in the Upper Galilee Springs Park, and Ein Haredit in Nahal Katziv in the Western Galilee.
