According to forecasts, the six-day sequence is expected to be at extremely high temperatures - more than 40 degrees in most parts of the country. • When did a similar species occur recently and what are the dangers?

The extreme heat wave is expected to be unprecedented in length and intensity, according to a preliminary review of the meteorological service. According to forecasts, a total of six days is expected at temperatures above 38 degrees in the coastal plain; 36 degrees or more in the mountain areas and more than 42 degrees in the Sea of Galilee.

A heavy scab across the country

After today (Sunday) there was a heavy fire all over the country, tomorrow it will continue as in most areas a heavy to extreme heat load is expected. During the morning, strong eastern winds will blow in the mountains and in the afternoon there will be strong north winds along the coastal plain. It is possible to haze mainly in the mountains and in the south of the country.

As a rule, a heavy succession of days is not common in the spring months. That many this season are usually fast and short, 24/7. However, the current phase is characterized by relatively slow formation and manifests itself in prolonged warming. In the past, there were several sequences of spring days, but they were shorter and / or with lesser temperatures.

For example, in June 2012, a five-day sequence with temperatures higher than 35 degrees occurred in the center mountains. A six-day sequence with temperatures higher than 34 degrees in the coastal plain was recorded in April 1998, while in April 1994, a four-day sequence with temperatures higher than 38 degrees in the coastal plain took place.

So until when is the sword likely to last? On Tuesday he will add a heavy scabbard with heavy to extreme heat loads and predictable haze. During the morning, strong eastern winds will blow in the mountains, and in the afternoon, high winds will blow north along the coastal plain.

On Wednesday, there will be a heavy strike in all parts of the country and there may still be haze in most areas. During the morning strong eastern winds will blow in the mountains. Also on Thursday, a heavy scab will be felt in all parts of the country with heavy to extreme heat loads.

Danger to travelers and fear of fires

The Nature and Parks Authority is asking the public to avoid going hiking in the open space these days, for fear of dehydration and life-threatening. In recent days quite a few dehydration and rescue events have been recorded.

The authority has announced that it is possible to travel on sites where the duration of the trip is short, with shaded seating areas for rest, and places to relax, such as running water fountains and foot-crossing water.

Recommended routes for those who still want to hike are: Ein Tina in the Golan, Rosh Pina Nahal and Kibbutz Nahal in the Upper Galilee Springs Park, and Ein Haredit in Nahal Katziv in the Western Galilee. In the center of the country you can visit White Eye in the Jerusalem area, in the south of the country you can visit Ein Bokek and Ein Yarkem.

Also, due to the heavy heat, there is an increased risk of fires and caution should therefore be exercised when it comes to burning fire.
