(CNN Spanish) - The Sonora State Prosecutor's Office confirmed the murder of journalist and businessman Jorge Armenta. A municipal police officer also died in the armed attack and another was wounded.
The agency said it does not rule out any line of investigation to clarify the attack.

The communicator was under the protection mechanism for journalists and on several occasions was threatened with death, according to the organization Reporters Without Borders.
