Mr. President Bashar Al-Assad issued Legislative Decree No. 11 of 2020 to determine the annual free grants allocated by all universities and private educational institutions to the families of the martyrs, the wounded, and missing military personnel in the army, armed forces, and internal security forces who were martyred, injured, or missing due to war or warfare or At the hands of terrorist gangs or hostile elements ... at a rate of no less than 2% of the number of students registered in each college or institute.

The scholarship includes fees, tuition fees, transportation fees and university housing, or an alternative thereof. The student granted during that period does not claim any tuition or fee even if he fails in the courses.
