Today, in cooperation with the Fire and Agriculture Regiment, civil defense personnel in Homs managed to put out a fire that broke out in the wheat fields of Kafr Abd village in Homs countryside.
Brigadier-General Ghiath Akel, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, told SANA that the cause of the fire was high temperatures and that immediately upon reporting, firefighting teams went to the place and worked to completely extinguish it, indicating that the area that was burned does not exceed ten acres.
Aaqel added that the civil defense personnel and the fire brigade also extinguished a fire in the Al-Hasawiya orchards in Homs, which broke out in an area planted with olive trees, indicating that the area affected was within five dunums.
