South African health authorities today announced 1160 new cases of coronavirus, the highest daily rate since the first case was recorded in March.
The agency quoted Agence France-Presse as saying that the total number of HIV infections in the country rose to 15515, about sixty percent of them in the Western Cape Province.
The ministry indicated that the country recorded three additional deaths, bringing the total to 263 cases.
